THE BEST TIME TO RETIRE

I noticed that whenever people hear the word RETIREMENT, most think about being old, doing nothing and life will just be about waiting for the final moment to come.

Often, I hear people say: “You must be 60 & above before you retire", or "I can't retire yet, I still have children in school".

Though there's nothing wrong with it, I don't think I will have enough strength and energy left to do the great things that I want to achieve if I wait that long.

Personally, I prefer a more exciting idea of retirement which is to be able to do more of the things that I love most, and less of the things I don't, while still young. Of course together with our love ones.

But some will say; Isn't that risky? Of course it is. But just as in a famous movie line: What's the point of living if you can't feel alive.

It's a LOSS when INTELLIGENT, TALENTED, or GIFTED people choose to be AVERAGE..worst, most even think that it's a virtue. Many Filipinos chose to live that way. We'd rather WAIT for things to change, instead of "INITIATING" it. In our case, maraming magagaling na Filipino, problem, wala sila dito. We commonly hear them say: "Babalik ako dyan pag OK na". One thing I noticed is that dealing w/ too many things day by day is exhausting.

Since childhood, I’ve seen people who sell everything imaginable; from, baby care, beauty products, snacks, food supplemnts, gadgets, real estate, health insurance, life insurance, to memorial plans. “From WOMB to TOMB” approach.
What puzzles me is that most of them are busy, but surprisingly end up exhausted, even broke! Just what is really needed to become successful?

The biggest obstacle to getting rich is when we have the habit of making a decision today, then all of a sudden, change it tomorrow. Motivated ngayon pero wala ng gana bukas. Kaunting problema, tumitigil na kaagad. With this attitude, bye-bye na pangarap!

It is easy to notice that people fail not because they are not good, but because they quit BEFORE they succeed.

To be successful, this is what we need – Note: in “ORDER of IMPORTANCE”;

1. Persistence
2. Talent

Yes, talent is the least we need, as nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Even education will not guarantee success, as the world is full of educated FAILURES. Nothing in the world can replace "PERSISTENCE".

Remember: The name of the game is “PERSISTENCE”.
