I use to do a lot of explaining before just to prove that I'm right. Hindi talaga ako nagpapatalo basta alam kong ako yung tama.

It's when I grow older that I realized it drains a lot of my energy whenever I deal with people who have no intention to understand, or those who can only understand according to their level of perception.

Arguing with such people is useless, and deprives us of our "HAPPINESS".

Sa ngayon, kung baluktot ang isip ng kausap ko at ipilit nyang itim ang puti at puti ang itim ay ok na sa akin. Forcing such people to change their mind is a bad idea.

ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY

People are tired of being poor yet very few are willing to really do something about it except mag rally at manisi.

Notice that the catchphrase these days is: “The government should do something about it”. Bisyo na ng iba na mag demand and to ask the govt to take care of all kinds of problems.. Including food on their table.

While the govt has it's share of responsibilities, hindi naman nito kaya lahat. Expecting the govt. to take care of our every need will only lead to MORE poor people. Marami kasi ang aasa na lang at di na magsisikap. It's better to empower ourselves in every way possible.

Realize that we ourselves have the power over our own future, and what happen, or doesn’t happen to us.

If we want to reach our full potential, iwanan na natin yung "ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY".

Sleep and Success

One of the things to do if we want to succeed; or change the world, or to simply rise from poverty is to get up early in the morning, iligpit ng maayos ang higaan, ihanda ang almusal, isaayos ang paligid, at isunod yung iba pang mga bagay na kailangan magawa sa bawat araw.

The bible warns us; 'He who loves to sleep and the folding of hands, poverty will set upon you like a thief in the night.' Proverbs 20:13.

Whenever we say we have no choice, we become weak and powerless, yet for most people, ito ang kanilang bukambibig araw-araw.

Imagine what kind of life we will get If we surrender this wonderful gift.

Believing you have no choice is ALSO a choice.
In-fact, it is the "GREATEST choice we can ever make"!

Start with Our Inner World

Too many people waste their energy focusing on issues in which they have no control. They worry too much about the weather next week, the anticipated second wave, the so called Big ONE, the war in Europe and the middle east, price of gas, or what the next president or vice president will do.

Unless you are in the position of running the nation, or your responsibilities are of national importance, preoccupying ourselves with such issues only makes us feel powerless.

If all you do is sit at home each evening, shaking your head as you watch the news, wondering what this country or the world is coming to, then you’re just wasting your time.

Advise: We can focus instead on smaller but equally important things, like helping someone in need, planning a business or earning strategy in the coming new normal, a renewed spiritual well being, or anything where we can actually make a difference.

Money and Plan

After the lockdown, the worse thing other than having no money is having no plan. Others may say; "what good is a plan if you have no money"? Alin nga ba ang mas mahalaga? Just like the classic chicken and egg dilemma, it's difficult to answer.

To quote entrepreneur Jim Rohn:

I remember saying to my mentor, "If I had more money, I would have a better plan." He quickly responded, "I would suggest that if you had a better plan, you would have more money."
You see, it's not the amount that counts; it's the plan that counts.

Overnight Success

11/8/2021

The internet have open up new opportunities for everybody to earn big outside of employment. But although we see lots of ordinary people become instant celebrities who even became millionaires, still the same principle of success applies.

Try talking to those people and we will see that there is no such thing as an overnight success. We will discover that it's not as easy as it looks. Pinaghirapan din talaga bago nila nakuha.

With all the tools available that we can leverage on today, still genuine success can only be achieved thru a challenging and sometimes painful process that unfolds like this:

a. Doing the thing
b. Committing mistakes
c. Correcting mistakes
d. Doing it again, and again, and again for the nth time..
e. Finally - Success

Strong character and emotional strength is needed in each step.
Now, if somebody try to convince you of a way to make big money without going thru the process, you probably know what it is - a scam.

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LEVERAGE

"Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand and I will move the entire earth"

Archimedes 287 -212BC Ancient Greek Mathematician and Inventor

How do you remove a nut without a wrench; or lift a car without a jack; or run multiple branches of a business without a team; or market your business around the globe without the internet; or how do you triple your income with the same number of working hours you have? Most people will answer; Impossible.

Without leverage, life becomes hard and painful. Even simple task  becomes hardwork to achieve.

But how come some people achieve so much with so little and with the same 24 hours we all have? The answer is LEVERAGE. One thing in common with highly successful people is their mastery of the Art and Science of leverage, yet most of us live our lives never utilizing its awesome power.

Below are examples where we can use it to solve the most common excuses that people have when we talk of starting a business.

Question: How can i start a business when?

- I do not have money for capital

- I do not have any experience

- I do not know what products to sell

- I do not know what services to offer

- I do not have strong and quality network

- I have no time

- I do not know about business system

- I do not have any business skills

- I am shy and have low self esteem

ANSWERS:

- I do not have money for capital – Then use other peoples money. If most of us are not afraid to buy big ticket items like expensive phones, cars, house using loaned money, then why not in a well studied business?

- I do not have any experience – Then learn from other peoples experience.

- I do not know what products to sell – Then sell other peoples product. Ever heard of people becoming millionaires selling real estate projects from developers. Or the middleman millionaire.

- I do not know what services to offer – Then sell other peoples services. In my case, I'm not a carpenter but I own a business that do house renovation projects involving home interior works.

- I do not have a network – Then search for other networks and join them.

-I do not know about business system – Then use other peoples proven business systems.

-I do not have any business skills – Then allow yourself to practice various business skills by doing the actual thing. I remember volunteering to be an apprentice and work for free in exchange for the learnings I will acquire.

- I am shy and have low self esteem – Then invest time for your personal growth.

Malasakit Center

8/22/2021

The Malasakit Center is a One-Stop Shop where indigent patients can efficiently access financial medical assistance from agencies such as PhilHealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Prior to the establishment of Malasakit Centers, indigents had to fill up multiple documents and go to separate government offices to lessen their medical expenses which is a tedious process.
The Malasakit Center simplifies the process of availing all subsidies from the following government agencies.

  • Department of Health
  • Department of Social Welfare and Development
  • PhilHealth
  • Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office
  • Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation

There is a total of 129 Malasakit Centers that were established as of July 2021. More centers will be opened in the country soon.

Malasakit Center Process
For in-patients, go to the Billing Section of the hospital and ask for an assessment of your billing and for a medical abstract. Bring this to the Malasakit Center.
In the center, you will be asked to fill up the Malasakit Unified Form to request medical assistance. The social worker in the center will assist and direct you to the Philhealth desk for coverage. If you are not a Philhealth member, you will be automatically given membership.
If the amount covered by Philhealth is insufficient, you will then be directed to PCSO and DOH within the Malasakit center who will get the additional fund from the Presidential Social Fund (PSF).

The assistance will not be in cash but in a form of a document that gives you the funding for your hospital bills. Just present it to the hospital billing section and it will be deducted from your bill.
A patient may avail of up to P50,000 from the Presidential Social Fund or PSF depending on the assessment coming from the different government agencies.

Malasakit Center also maintains a database system for efficient gathering and retrieval of patient’s information. An express lane for persons with disabilities (PWD) and senior citizens is also available at the facility. Outpatients may also avail of assistance for their medical checkups and medicines.

Steps on how to avail:

The FACTS behind the so called “ENERGY SAVERS”            -Do they really work?

7/25/2021

Picture
Question:  Is it true that you will save on your electricity bill if you buy and use the so called "Energy Saving Device" sold in most popular malls today?

Answer: No

Picture
Question: But how come that in their demonstration, the current decreases when the Energy Saving device is plugged-in? I've seen it with my own eyes.

Answer: Note that it was only the current that was shown in their demo and not the KILOWATT-HOUR reading. Electric bills are computed based in KILOWATT-HOUR and not on current reading alone.

Picture
QUESTION : But doesn't it follow that when the CURRENT goes down, the KILOWATT-HOUR reading also goes down?

Answer : Not in this case. There are two different types of current in the setup they use; The RESISTIVE (In phase) current, and the REACTIVE (Out of phase) current.

A flourescent lamp with a ballast and any appliance with a motor produce both RESISTIVE and REACTIVE currents which are both displayed in the current meter. But among this currents, only the RESISTIVE current can be sensed by the KILOWATT-HOUR meter and contributes to its actual reading as reflected in our electricity bill.

This is the reason why they only use flourescent lamp with a ballast, or a washing machine motor in their demo. Using other appliances like an incandescent lamp, TV, or Computer will not yield the same result.

Picture
QUESTION : I still don't get it. Can you use an example?

ANSWER:  Imagine a glass of newly poured beer almost filled to the brim. The beer occupies 2/3 of the glass, while the remaining 1/3 are just bubbles.
REAL power is represented by the BEER, while APPARENT power is represented by the BUBBLES.

This is what happens when you use a flourescent lamp with a ballast, or any appliance with a motor and you plug-in the energy saver device.

In the analogy, the flourescent lamp or motor produces both the BEER and BUBBLES, while the so-called power saver remove those bubbles but still has no effect on the actual amount of beer which represents the KILOWATT-HOUR readings.

QUESTION: Then what is the device good for?
ANSWER : It's just a power factor correction device (capacitor). In doesn't affect KILOWATT-HOUR readings in anyway. You will still pay the same amount of energy you use even with such device. In fact, it can even add a small amount to your bill due to the additonal components like LED lamps that goes with it. However, large commercial and industrial consumers may have different considerations.

About the author:
Having worked in an electrical laboratory that conducts testing on various commercial energy saving devices, we've seen that this products that claims to save on electricity bills are just:

1. Power Factor correction devices or capacitors.

2. Power reducing devices that is often dangerous to certain loads because it clips and distorts power. This result to the appliance reduced work output and just extend the time it need to produce the same amount of work. This doesn't help as electrcity bills are computed based on KIlowatts multiplied by time.

Have you ever experienced trying hard to find your eyeglasses, and later realize that you’re already wearing it at the top your head?

Or being in the brink of a mental breakdown trying to solve a financial problem all to no avail. Then suddenly finds the answer while being half asleep in the middle of the night; or while taking a shower, or while doing your thing in the toilet.

That’s because when we're naturally relaxed, our brain opens up to creative ideas that may not occur when our mind is busy.

So when all things seem hopeless, take a pause, be still, better yet, pray.

Deal with the Moment

Similarly, most things that bother us today won't really matter a few years from now.
So how should we behave in the face of crisis? Answer: Just deal with them moment by moment.
In reality, we can always handle the present. It is only the thought of the future that frightens us . .and the problem is that our minds tendency is to drag us into the future.

So when scared of what may go wrong someday, just say to yourself: "This too shall pass".

Why Criticize?

7/14/2021

Is it hard to criticize? Definitely not. All you need to do is to look at the bad side of people and things.
Criticizing actually requires very little mental effort and it rarely makes us look smart.
Here's why:
-When you look for bad things.., lets say the government, your neighbor, your husband, your wife, your boss or your employees, you will surely find one.
- But when you look for good things in them, you will also find one.
It's very easy to find fault and say bad things about others; the only question is why should we?

Are you Asking for the Wrong Things?

7/14/2021

Asking the Creator for the wrong things will automatically give us a "NO" answer. That's why it's important that we understand how He make things work and how the creator deal with our lives.

Here's an illustration:

-"I asked God to take away my habit. God said NO, it’s not for me to take it away but for you to give it up.

-I asked God to grant me patience, God said NO, patience is a byproduct of tribulations; It isn’t granted but learned.

-I asked God to give me happiness. God said NO, I'l give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.

-I asked God to spare me pain. God said NO, sufferings draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

-I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said NO, you must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

-I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life. God said NO, I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

-I asked God to help me LOVE others as much as He loves me. God said… ahhh, finally you have the idea". - Unknown

Usapang Business:

7/14/2021

Gaano kasaklap sa isang negosyo yung nagsisisi ang customer dahil ikaw pa ang napiling pagkatiwalaan? Maaring walang epekto ngayon, but sooner or later it will.

Notice that today's innovative business systems are winning over their traditional counterpart because of one major reason: Their being more "CUSTOMER ORIENTED".

Some examples are GRAB and Angkas. These new business concept by itself did not kill the taxi business but rather the often rude and dishonest taxi drivers with their untidy vehicles and bad driving habits that did.

In the retail business, Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, Alibaba and similar systematized online stores did not kill other retailers but oftentimes the overpricing or confusing pricing scheme, hidden charges, not giving customers enough options, poor customer service or inconvenient payment and delivery methods that did.

These happens as well in other businesses such as money transfer, Internet, telecoms, and others where competition is based on overall customer convenience and satisfaction.

So if you plan to be in business, take note that it’s not really technology that kills businesses, it's in not being CUSTOMER-ORIENTED that will".

Opportunity Behind every Problem

7/14/2021

Picture
According to Robert Kiyosaki, to succeed in life, we must first accept the fact that problems will NEVER go away.

Once we have solved a problem, another problem or maybe a bigger one will arrive. That will happen as long as we're breathing. There will always be situations that will challenge us to grow, or drag us to the bottom and stay stuck in life.

The key is to realize that the "PROCESS" of solving those problems make people successful.

Successful people can handle bigger problems while others tend to avoid it. We should remember that by the time we were able to solve not only our personal problems, but other peoples problem as well, that's also the time we will become successful.

As author T. Eker stated: "The bigger problems you can handle; the bigger business you can handle, the bigger responsibilities you can handle, the more customers you can handle and the more money and wealth you can handle". Nothing can be closer to reality than that statement.

Picture
A reality we see is that many Filipinos choose to seek their fortune somewhere else because what we mostly see are problems and hardly no opportunity in our country. On the contrary, the Chinese and other nationalities choose to stay here because they have found this same country as a haven of opportunity.

Who is saying the truth? The answer is BOTH. It depends on whether you want to look at the problem or look at the opportunity, which are both present at the same time.

While there are people who feel unfortunate being born and raised in the Philippines because of the many problems we encounter everyday, it is inspiring to know that some of Forbes top 40 successful people became billionaires doing their thing in the Philippines...while we Filipinos search our fortune somewhere else!

This is a proof that "hidden behind every problem is an opportunity".

And because the Philippines has so many problems..that means the Philippines has so many opportunities.

Why Love your Enemies?

7/14/2021

We often hear people say; “I love my family so much that I'm willing to make sacrifices for their sake.”. This includes people who are good to them.

Though most find it a virtue, yet God sees nothing special in loving only those who love us. That's because even pagans and sinners do that. In fact, it is naturally seen in animals, when it takes care of its offspring.

Being a TRUE Christian is more than saying we love God. Here is a test that NOT everyone can pass: In Matthews 5:43-48, it is written:

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect".

One Idea

Nasubukan mo rin ba yung marami kang racket? Kumusta naman. Ganito ako dati, resulta: Nakakapagod, nakakahilo, at nakaka stress tapos yung ending.. wala rin!

If doing too many things doesn't give us the life we desire, try this formula:

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” - Swami Vivekananda

Money doesn't solve money problems

I use to think money solves money problems. Then i wonder why ther wer people who wer given a fortune, lost it all..then goes back to the same, or even BIGGER money problem.
The reason; Not having money is "NOT" the problem..... Instead, it's a "SYMPTOM" caused by something internal.
To quote:
"Money is a RESULT, wealth is a RESULT, health is a RESULT, illness is a RESULT, your weight is a RESULT. We live in a world of CAUSE & EFFECT"-T. Harv Eker

Wherever we look, we see mostly quitters. We see them every day. They try some selling, and then quit. Some try losing weight, then quit. Some starts saving, then quit. Some start taking a college course, then quit. Then wonder why they can't get ahead.
And because most people are quitters, this is “GOOD news” for those who decide to be successful.
Here’s the secret: Stick to what you’ve decided to do no matter what.. & in a very short time, you will be ahead of most people.
Because Success is not always about talent & education. “The name of the game is PERSISTENCE”.

Be Bigger Than Your Problem

I’m am posting an excerpt from T. Harv Eker’s book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" for people who want to see problems from a different perspective.

One of the biggest differences between rich people and poor people is that highly successful people are bigger than their problems while unsuccessful people are smaller than their problems.

Unsuccessful people are constantly trying to avoid problems. They back away from challenges. The irony is that in their quest to make sure they don’t have problems, they have the biggest problem of all… they’re broke or close to it. The secret to success is not to try and shrink your problems; it’s to grow yourself so you’re bigger than any problem.

Imagine a “level 2” person is looking at a “level 5” problem. Does this problem appear to be big or small? The answer is that from a “level 2” perspective, a “level 5” problem would seem BIG.
Now imagine a “level 8” person looking at this same “level 5” problem. From this person’s perspective, is this problem big or small? Magically, the identical problem is now a SMALL problem.
And for a “level 10” person, it’s NO problem at all. It’s just an everyday occurrence, like brushing your teeth.

It’s important to realize that whether you are rich or poor, playing big or playing small, problems do not go away. If you’re breathing, you will always have situations that aren’t perfect.
Therefore, the size of the problem is never the problem. It’s always the size of you!

The secret then is to grow yourself as a person, to be bigger than your problems so that they become insignificant and appear to disappear. Not because the problems are not there, but because you handle them so easily.

The bigger problems you can handle; the bigger business you can handle, the bigger responsibilities you can handle, the more customers you can handle and the more money and wealth you can handle.

Remember, your income can only grow to the extent that you do!
A universal principle states that “at all points in time you are either growing or dying”. That’s why it is essential to keep learning and continue to work on yourself.

This month commit to growing yourself.

This month, do not shrink from problems, do not avoid problems and do not complain about problems. Practice not letting problems bother you. In fact, don’t even call them problems; refer to them as “challenges” or “situations”.

This month, practice handling problems with elegance and ease. The way to do this is to let go of your attachments, as well as the emotion and drama you create when you don’t get what you want. Just stay present and handle one situation at a time with an open mind and an open heart. Trust yourself and trust the universe that everything will work out in the end.

The bottom line is that if you become a master at handling problems, what can stop you from happiness and wealth? The answer is NOTHING!

Are You Living or Just Existing?

Are we living a safe and secure but mediocre life, or a rather risky but exciting one?

One of the best lesson we can learn in life is that "The more we TRY, the more we FAIL. The more we FAIL, the more we LEARN. The more we LEARN, the BETTER we get".

So let's not live the rest of our lives trying to be safe by avoiding the risk altogether. Muster the courage to try new things. Let's feel the fear but do it anyway for what's good in living if we can't feel alive.

So in the remaining years we have, seek that dream career, find that dream partner, start that dream business no matter what. Surely it won't be easy, but as it is said:

"To try and win is the best thing,  to try and lose is the NEXT best"!

Do You Want To See Your Future?

12/9/2017

Picture
If you have not chosen to design your future, then you will be in your “DEFAULT FUTURE”.

DEFAULT FUTURE is what 95% of the population gets. It happens when you are living a PASSIVE lifestyle, where you just allow things to happen instead of making things happen.

People with default future often ask the question WHY; They ask: why me? Why people do this to me? Why did this happen? They always feel that they are VICTIMS.

Some things are so predictable…and since passive lifestyle follows a linear path, it’s really not hard to have a glimpse of one’s own future.

So what is your “DEFAULT FUTURE”?
Do this exercise to find out

1. In your profession or workplace who is the oldest among your peers? Do you want his or her lifestyle?
2. In your profession or workplace, look for the oldest among your peers. Do you like his salary?
3. If you continue making your income now for the next five years, what would your life look like?
4. If you continue making your income now, when can you afford your personal dreams and your family dreams?

The best way for you to predict your future is to invent it! – Frank Maguire
